Privacy Policy:

The Applied Behavior Analysis Center, LLC. (“ABAC“) operates abacnj.com and may operate other websites. It is ABAC’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, ABAC collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. ABAC’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how ABAC’s visitors use its website. From time to time, ABAC may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

ABAC also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on abacnj.com blogs/sites. ABAC only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog/site where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to ABAC’s websites choose to interact with ABAC in ways that require ABAC to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that ABAC gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up at abacnj.com to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with ABAC are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, ABAC collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with ABAC. ABAC does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Learner Data and Learner Confidentiality

ABAC contracts website security to WordPress specialists sites to help prevent malicious attacks and access to participants’ addresses and phone numbers. ABAC does not collect any credit card information. All electronic payments go through Paypal and BluePay, a secure and reputable credit card gateway. All feedback is delivered to presenters and is absent of names or other identifying information. Participants submit evaluations via confidential evaluation forms. ABAC does not collect email addresses or personal identifying information as part of the evaluation form procedure. Access to attendance code submissions, answers to quiz questions, or other information submitted by participants may be accessed only by employees and interns of ABAC for the purpose of issuing certificates of completion. When questions are read to presenters during our events, the moderator does not share who asked the question and participant names are hidden from view of the participants during webinars. Data from evaluations are shared confidentially with committee members and are summarized and sent to CE organizations when appropriate. All completion information is stored as a report within the LMS. Certificates are printed on demand. The LMS retains customer address, email, and professional license and certificate numbers of attendees but does not retain any personal health information or legal identification numbers such as learner social security numbers.

Learners may request copies of certificates of completion and/or other learner data for 7-years.

Only registered participants can access certificates. ABAC typically responds to requests for copies of certificates of completion from direct email addresses of the individuals requesting their certificate.  ABAC does not release certificates to employers who pay for webinars unless there is a written request by the learner.  Standard operating procedure is for companies to request copies from the learner directly.
