ABAC Live Event Recording Access: FAQs

Recording Access

What is a Live Event Recording?

A Recording is a audio/visual file (i.e. mp4) and accompanying text files (transcripts or closed captioning files) generated by the third-party online meeting platform used to host Live Events. Recordings are available following the Live Event during the Post-Live Event Recording Access Period.

Can I earn continuing education credit for viewing a Live Event Recording?

As with all ABAC Live Events and Courses, continuing education eligibility is provided on the product page. Continuing education credit is available for some professionals who view a Live Event Recording and fulfill the continuing education requirements. Other professionals must attend the live event or may only attend Courses that have been individually approved by the professional organizations that approves continuing education providers.  You must read the eligibility statements carefully. No refunds are provided if a professional completes an Live Event and later realizes that a specific type of continuing education credit is not available.

Is there a difference between a Live Event Recording and a Course?

Yes. A Live Event Recording is only available during the Post Live-Event Recording Access Period. You must register for the live event to access the live event recording. You have the option to view the live event and/or watch the recording during the access period.

A Course is an asynchronous online learning experience which grants credit in the form of continuing education credit hours, continuing education units (CEUs), or professional development hours. Courses are accessed on-demand via an assigned Portal found within the ABAC Learning Management System.  When you purchase a Course you will have a limited time to complete it however the access period is longer and one can view the course immediately after purchasing.

How long can I view the Live Event Recording?

ABAC posts the Recording the day after the Live Event for a limited period of time. In 2020 this time period increased from five to ten days. Beginning 2022 the Post-Live Event Recording Access Period will be 14-days.

What happens if I don't view the Live Event Recording during the access period?

Please pay attention to the dates your recording is available. This is incredibly important. We specialize in LIVE webinars with the recordings offered as a benefit to our customers only.

We do not offer transfers or refunds on missed webinars…live or recording. Depending on the circumstances (e.g. death in the family, job loss, hospitalization, etc.) we will provide accommodations (see below). Email Adrienne (adrienne@abacnj.com) for help in that case.

We understand that personal issues sometimes interfere with the ability to finish watching an event within the recording access period. We have accommodated all reasonable requests free of charge, however had to implement a new policy in 2021.

You will be charged an extension fee if you do not request an extension during the Post Live Event Access Period. No extensions will be granted 30 days after the live event date.
